Crafted from 100% malted barley that is ground, fermented and distilled in Lynchburg, Tennessee. This Jack Daniel's American Single Malt finished in Oloroso Sherry Casks is a new take on timeless Single Malt traditions. Charcoal mellowed the Tennessee way. Aged in hand-crafted newly charred oak barrels, then finished in the finest Oloroso Sherry Casks. It is rich and complex, characterized as dark chocolate covered nuts and berries with a subtle sweet Oloroso Sherry finish.

Mr. Jack Daniel established his distillery in 1866, making it America’s oldest registered distillery. He built his distillery in the little town of Lynchburg, Tennessee, in the Cave Spring Hollow because of the abundance of cool, iron-free spring water that was perfect for making his whiskey. We still make our whiskey here today. Jack Daniel’s is crafted according to all of bourbon’s quality standards but undergoes the extra step of mellowing drop by drop through 10 feet of hard sugar maple charcoal. Mellowing the whiskey is a time-consuming and costly extra step, but it gives Jack Daniel’s its smooth character and distinctive taste. It makes Jack Daniel’s a Tennessee Whiskey and not bourbon. After mellowing, Jack Daniel’s whiskey is matured in new, charred American white oak barrels, from which the whiskey draws its spicy oak notes and its rich, golden color.
