Jack Daniel's
SinatraBeskrivning
In honor of a legendary friendship that stretched more than half a century, the Jack Daniel Distillery has released a special edition of its distinctive Tennessee Whiskey called Jack Daniel’s Sinatra Select. In honor of Frank’s devotion to Jack, Jack Daniel’s master distiller has selected a number of specially crafted barrels distinguished by their smooth, bold flavor. These “Sinatra Barrels” are carefully grooved inside, carving through the inner char of the barrel to expose more of the oak to the whiskey. What emerges from these unique barrels is an extra rich spirit that is then mingled with Jack Daniel’s classic Tennessee Whiskey for a fuller flavor, rich in oak and spice notes, that gives way to an exceedingly smooth vanilla finish.
Producent
Mr. Jack Daniel established his distillery in 1866, making it America’s oldest registered distillery. He built his distillery in the little town of Lynchburg, Tennessee, in the Cave Spring Hollow because of the abundance of cool, iron-free spring water that was perfect for making his whiskey. We still make our whiskey here today. Jack Daniel’s is crafted according to all of bourbon’s quality standards but undergoes the extra step of mellowing drop by drop through 10 feet of hard sugar maple charcoal. Mellowing the whiskey is a time-consuming and costly extra step, but it gives Jack Daniel’s its smooth character and distinctive taste. It makes Jack Daniel’s a Tennessee Whiskey and not bourbon. After mellowing, Jack Daniel’s whiskey is matured in new, charred American white oak barrels, from which the whiskey draws its spicy oak notes and its rich, golden color.
