The Glenfiddich Single Malt WhiskyIn the Spirit of SuccessIn the summer of 1886, with the help of his seven sons and two daughters, William Grant set out to fulfill a lifelong ambition. Together they began building his distillery by hand, stone by stone.On Christmas Day 1887, a single year of work later, it was ready and William Grant named it Glenfiddich - Gaelic for “Valley of the Deer”.The first spirits flowed from the still in Dufftown, Scotland. Built by one man and his nine children, the Glenfiddich Distillery was a dream that became a reality for William Grant.It was built on a commitment to quality, a promise of innovation, and a spirit of independence and entrepreneurialism.
