Vana Tallinn is one of Estonia’s most well-known trademarks, born in 1960-ies. The name „Vana Tallinn“ means literally „Old Tallinn“ referring to the capital of Estonia. The design of the bottle is inspired from the medieval towers of the city.Vana Tallinn is drank both cold and hot. It’s admired, enjoyed and valued. It’s added to cocktails distributed at masquerades and offered alongside black tea used to invigorate travellers after a trek through the arctic tundra.The making of this unique liqueur takes nearly a month and only natural ingredients are used for making the beverage. Vana Tallinn includes rum from Jamaica, enhanced by vanilla pods, orange, lemon and bitter orange oils. The drink gets its intriguingly bitter flavour and exotic aroma from cinnamon bark.The exact recipe of the liqueur is still a well-kept secret and is only handed down from one liqueur master to another.
