The original Kalevala Gin, an ode to juniper is produced at the Kalevala Distillery in easternmost Finland. While contemporary gin is booming in its many variations, our distilled gin is true to traditions and has a full juniper taste with hints of floral sweetness. Epic Gin!

The Kalevala Distillery was founded by Moritz Wüstenberg in 2012 to pursuit a personal passion for spirits as well as a local tradition for producing spirits. During the prohibition of the 1930´s the municipality of Kitee was known as the bootlegging capital of Finland as the best moonshine was produces here. Some 80 years after the prohibition ended, a new era of spirit production was started here. Today we distill premium spirit products, using only organic ingredients. The water we use comes from our own well and is of such quality that no treatment whatsoever is required. Epic Gin, from Finnish nature straight to you!
