Aalborg Taffel Aquavit lanserades i 1846 av Isidor Henius; mannen som introducerade omdestilleringstekniken till Danmark. Denna destillationsteknik skapade en produkt som var mycket renare och lättare att dricka. Taffel har som ett resultat en väldigt ren och distinkt smak av kummin som görs sig väldigt gott ihop med tradtionella danska maträtter.
