With its refined taste of dill and coriander, it is perfectly suited to light and simple dishes from modern cuisine but is also an evident choice to accompany pan-fried oily fish. It is best enjoyed chilled but can also be enjoyed at room temperature. Aalborg Jubilæums was first made in 1946 as a tribute to Aalborg Taffel Aquavit, which was celebrating its 100 anniversary. Ever since the mid-19th century, Aalborg Taffel Akvavit - also called “Red Aalborg” - has been the finishing touch at any self-respecting lunch table; it is the bottle, the label, the taste - the very concept - that we associate with the good, traditional Danish lunch! Aalborg Taffel Akvavit is Denmark’s main brand of spirits and is the Danes’ favourite aquavit.
