Created in 1927 by Colonel Jim Porter to develop a unique tasting beer combining the full flavour of ale with easy drinkability. The end result was a smooth, caramel tasting ale with a slightly nutty aftertaste. It’s the No.1 premium bottled ale in the UK and the number one imported ale in the US.
